The Bioscreen(R), housing the BioBlock, is placed in the urinal pans. When it comes into contact with urine, the spores in the Urinal Bioblock are activated into ‘good’ bacteria that ‘feed’ upon the waste and then multiply. The urine pushes the bacteria into the urinal pipe, and over a period of 15-30 days, a colony of microbes is established in the urinal drains. This puts the urinal pipes into an auto-clean mode and reduces any accumulation of scales.
The bacteria and enzymes degrade the odour-causing components, providing a two-stage permanent odour-neutralization process:
- The floral fragrance immediately provides relief by masking.
- Bacteria provide permanent relief from the odour by destroying the odour-forming compounds.
Installing and maintaining BIODOC® Bioscreen is a simple and straightforward process:

- Disconnect the water supply to the urinal.
- Clean the urinal thoroughly with BIODOC® Washroom Cleaner.
- Place the Bioscreen inside the urinal pot.
- Maintain the system by spraying the BIODOC® Urinal Odor Controller every 2 hours.
